  • What tables do you want in your HPTuners program?

    Please tell me the Year, Make, Model, Engine, Transmission.

    We have a chance to get these included, especially for N body 3400 but I want as much as I can get from this community to forward to HPTuners. We also have LX9 support on the list. If you want to know a list of possible tables, I am guessing Tiny Tuner and or HPTuners and an L67 file from 98+. Just a guess. Not all tables will be there, or the same, but if they have a list it will have a better chance of happening.

    1997 Chevy Venture 3400 4t60e, Should be the same as the 97 Montana they have, but the only issue I have with HPtuners is you NEED to find the ECM from the car they support... I have 4 programed Venture ECM's (I can provide the OSID if needed too) so that leaves all of those useless to me since they can't do a full write to a supported ECM, and well yeah they dont support a 96 Beretta, which I don't expect them to.

      They won't do a venture. I think I wrote over one though but I can't do any minivans without buying. I only have the full V6 car setup.

        They have the 97 Grand Am in there right? If so I guess that will have to suffice... I know I can write the 058 ECMs I have to the GA file, but is there only a specific osid that they support? I'd have to cross with what I can write to see if it would be usable.

              I haven't used HP Tuners but all injector characteristics should be included for every engine/platform. The next problem is finding the correct values for the injectors being installed. Ford MS has their injector data available online.

                I think thats the issue... the tables he listed are not available in the HPtuner program... At least I've heard of many other tables that they some people want to edit which are just not mapped out yet. From what I hear its quite a process to find map and verify tables in the bins without having a definite index from the manufacturer.

                  depends on how good of a disassembler you have, and if you've built a test-bench...

                  finding tables and constants is fairly easy and since GM generally groups similar functions in specfic areas of the BIN, it's fairly easy to guess as to what they do(and if you know what you're looking for, easy to watch in the datastream to confirm it).

                  it's the scaling that always gets me....

                    2003 Olds Silhouette 3400 4t65-e makes no sense becuase you can tune a montana (been tempted of just getting a montana PCM or changing the vin) it's the same effing van and right now makes my HPT useless even though when i talked to customer support whne it would not compunicate and pull the file they did say the u vans where in bata all i want to do is improve the MPG of this fat pig

                    2000 GAGT 3400 4t45-e not sure have not tryed to access the pcm seeing as the car does not run

                    i would like at least all the tables the L67/L36 has would like more (have you seen what the LS1 guys can play with? makes me jealuse)

                      specific tables would be nice rather than saying "everything". The minivan, have to swap to the montana computer. They added support of the 97 cutlass 3100 so that I can flash it to a grand am PCM, which is the only 97 N body setup available. This setup is used for 96 3100s to run a tunable 97 computer. The vans aren't unlimited for me since they aren't in the car package, or I could have them give me access to the other vans to at least reflash them myself.

                          These tables would be great for boosting. I know there are a good number of us that have or will boost their 60v6. These tables would really make a difference. Being able to install a 2-bar MAP gives us the option of going w/o a MAF (Default SD). The BOV's placement is a real issue when using a MAF.

                          MAP Scaling Factor & MAP Sensor Offset
                          Allowing the ability to use a 1.5 or 2 bar MAP sensor, also able to adjust the sensors minimum for various aftermarket MAPS.

                          Transient Airmass Calc Mode
                          0 = Use Nothing, 1 = Use MAF Failure Mode, 2 = Use VE Tables
                          The ability to toggle modes of transient fueling. Able to enable or disable the PCM referrencing the VE Table to assist in smoother transient fueling. This is not a Speed Density Setting, rather it allows the PCM to use both the MAF + VE for greater fueling resolution. The VE calc addition is supposed to aid in lower load/rpm transient fueling. Definately a good tool when airflow goes from moderate boost to idle via BOV w/ all the turbulence. Atleast, as far as I know adjusting the VE could then alter fueling chaos immediately after boost. This will also help maintain more accurate AFR's at light loads, cruising, city driving, ect. It can only help the power making AFR's where they need to be during WOT take off from low load.

                          Use Larger Table Steps
                          0 = 80-680 mg/cyl (N/A)
                          1 = 80-920 mg/cyl (FI)

                          The ability to use extended tables for boost applications where a greater then 1-bar map is used.
