  • Location of OBD-II Connector for 2000 Gram Am 3400

My neighbor just ankle tackled me to run an Actron Diagnostics on her son's latest toy (2000 Pontiac Grand Am 3400 Ram/Air). The only problem is... I can't seem to located the "D" Connector under the lower dash adjacent the steering column... just some slender, funky looking connector with an odd looking 6 pin interface. I could use a pic if anyone has one... Thanks!

.... and Yes... I did a basic search with idea on not troubling anyone with such a basic question...but the factory Owner's Manual has no image of its whereabouts and I was flooded with similar posts but nothing exact...

could be hidden... My buddies vette, the connector is straight under the steering wheel and faces the floor (straight down) unlike the Monte it is off to the side and faces the driver... crawl under then dash and look it should be there some where. I have seen them on some cars to the left of the wheel as well with a cover over them..

Here is what i mean by sometimes they are hidden..

Such neat little touches to the vette to keep them cleaner looking than the every day Chebby. I want one...

Im not sure if youre still looking for the OBD port (hopefully you found it by now) but if you are sitting in the drivers seat it will be just in front of your left knee where the gray part of the dash meets up with the black kick panels below. The black panel may have sagged down but there is an opening in it and the plug may only be visible if you push it up.
