    1 example is the getting the Vin,
    since the elm is getting extra bits the Vin returns Junk.

    I am going to work with it over the week end, remove all white spaces etc to make the calculations simpler in hopes of filtering out what is not wanted.

      Dealing with the vehicles in the shop today.
      1998 LN2 2.2 Sunfire, works perfect even while running
      2002 LN2 2.2 Cavalier, Too much chatter, can't get VIN and takes several attempts to get key process started correctly.

            The elm has a very small buffer so its hard to monitor but possible.
            (I am monitoring my Tech2)

                    there's something that always concerned me with OBD2: the alt duty cycle.

                    if whatever controls it fails, does it revert to a 100% duty cycle, 0%, or does it go off of the internal regulator or ???
                    1995 Monte Carlo LS 3100, 4T60E...for now, future plans include driving it until the wheels fall off!

                      That would be funny to mess with someone you are riding with while running a scan with them driving, lol. "Dude, you've got a bad miss all of the sudden..." They freak out and you turn the injector back on, lol. BTW, Ben and I are working on a 96Achieva for a friend (3100 with the broken cam syndrome) that I can put power to and run this app to get the seed/key from it if you like.

                        Robert, When I "DeActive" the L Terminal of the Alt, it goes to 100%.
                        So I would think that if there is a fault it wuld default to 100%

                        PR that would be sweet, the more info I can get the better.

                        As for playing pranks, you can get the bluetooth elm devices, plug it in when ur buddy driving with out him knowing. Could have lots of fun lol

                              The PCM can reduce the amount the Alt produces to reduce load when not needed.
