      Wish I could Induce a P1336 on this 02 Impala with a 3400 lol, The Ckp Variation Relearn command seems to work here, but until I have a 60*V6 that needs it I wont know for sure.

      Sure looks promising though, you wont need to goto Dealer to do it anymore if it works.
      Hell a cheap EBay Elm is a fraction of the cost a dealer would charge!

          Cool to see you got it working. Do you have any plans to make this modular? One thing Ive always wanted is a configurable datalogging system that can be adapted to any platform. The ELM is pretty good for datalogging, but there isnt much support out there for it yet.

          If the PCM enters fuel cut-off, then the PCM is in CKP relearn, so its working if you get to the point where the engine cuts out at 4k or so when you request a relearn.

            Here is a log of SPS sending File and Info to Tech2 for a reflash of a 99 Venture.

            The seed and key is in the file near the end.

            So the Algos you would think are in the SPS software somewhere.

            Wish I knew how to decipher this better lol.
            Still learning.

              impressive.

              Can you guide me in the right direction if I wanted to add unique parameters to my PCM?

              I would like to add EGR control versus TPS, RPM and also have a timer.

              This way I can command the EGR to open and vent exhaust to the atmosphere when the turbo has boosted long enough. So I can keep the pedal to the floor but have the turbo dissable when it has had enough run time.

              Just like a supercharger timer.

              Unless there is an after market device for just that purpose.

              Or, if I can wire the parameters of the supercharger timer to the EGR as the PCM has a SC timer already.

                So the Algo ARE in the SPS software!!!!!!
                And I have ALL 256 of them now, just sorting them out progmatically

                Will make my App go from 8 hours to 4.5 days to a MAX of 22 minutes, then with a learning db we can record the Osid/Algo relationship to get a list so we are looking at mere milliseconds

                Schmieder, take a look at your tuning software, there MAY already be an EGR table there.

                  Planet,
                  I am trying to create a bench set-up with my spare PCM. I think my PCM is very similar (if not the same) wiring config as yours. I don't want to search for a seed/key with the PCM while in my vehicle due to the length of time & vehicle battery life issues.

                  According to my wiring diagrams, I should be there if I wire the following:
                  Grounds: pins 16, 56, 57, 60 (BLK/WHT) - All in harness C1;
                  +12: Pin 20 (ORN) in harness C1;
                  Ign voltage (if needed): Pin 19 (PPL) Ignition 0 in C1 & pin 24 (PNK) Ignition 1 Voltage in C2;
                  Finally, pin 58 (PPL) for Class 2 Serial Data directly to the applicable pin in my ALDL cable? (along with the ground) for proper PC communication? (this is the part I have most question with).

                    pin 2 for Class 2 Serial Data, Pins 4 AND 5 to grounds.

                    Both need to be grounded or you will get communication errors.

                        • Ok, unrelated but I guess you guys are the ones to ask since it is an ELM device I'm inquiring about.

                          ELM is great, but I have an ELM-320 and yes that means its for Ford only... Thats what I need it for though. I was wondering if anyone knows of ANY programs out there for a Ford where you can edit a PID scanning list, or get available pids somehow.

                          I need to diagnose a 4x4 F150 and I can't find any software out there that will scan the 4x4 pids... they all only do SAE pids.

                          So does anyone know of any open multi platform software? The only open software I have now is for GM only so thats my problem, and I can't seem to find any similar on ford message boards so I was wondering if you scanning tinkerers had any input.

                          Got Lope?

                          • I bought ScanXL a few months ago, then ended-up buying the GM enhanced kit add-on. You can buy the Ford Enhanced kit as well. All together, it was around $180 for the software. Could I have gotten it cheaper (freeware)? Probably (and I did check around). But I downloaded the free software and decided I really liked it. It does allow PID configuration. It's well worth the money since I diagnosed a few CEL issues. One of them was ABS-related which I would have had to take a special shop. Well worth the $. Now I'm trying for the next step - reflashing. The the ScanXL unfortunately doesn't do that. Between a few of us, we should hopefully crack the code for this within a few months.

                            • I was trying to do it for a little less than 180, since I don't drive or tweak the ford at all, its for my father in-law... so 180 is a bit high to diagnose one issue alone.

                              I have the Palmer Performance PCMScan software, as well as Westers Garage, both are very similar to ScanXL but Westers is MUCH more expensive... Not sure why really.

                              Thanks for the help.

                                Did you ever get a chance to sniff out a 3400 for terminal commands as you listed before in this tread for the Sunfire? That would be cool if you could list as many as you did with the Sunfire ...
