  • How to switch from DHP to HPT in a 96

I have a 96 computer in my car and the tune that is on it is from DHP. I need to do a little tuning but can not get access to a DHP module. I have a newer computer, is it possible to flash the newer computer with HPT (which I have) to work with my car?

What do you mean by newer computer? New PCM? New Laptop? Please give details.

I think you would need the credits to use a different PCM bin file with HPT. HPT should still work with your PCM as long as HPT covers it. Either way 96 PCM's are not the best PCMs to use for tuning. I would look to see if a later model PCM would work. Try PM'ing 3400-95-modified about using a later model PCM, I believe 97, from a Venture minivan. It has more tables for adjustment. Tables that you will need.
