    well took it to get some gas got some good runs about 8 miles worth of data logged in 3 seperate scans though.

    first one is till i got to the gas station

    second one isnt that long about a few minutes but its from the gas station to a road where i stopped to check things

    third is from the spot i stopped at back to my garage,

    all in all it ran alright for the drive, still has the skip when you let off the gas and let it coast and now it wants to run at 500-600 rpms even when theres nothing below 975 in the rpm chart.
    it ran decent for the drive but now it wont even idle and runs like shiot now.

    i went through the whole top end today and checked everything over and all the gaskets and plastic tubes were good no leaks. so whats causing it to run like shiot.

    these are the codes i keep getting but there not the same parts as last time.
    DTC Code : P0101
    Description : Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor Performance
    -- PCM/ECM DTC CODE DATA HEX :: 08006CF11059010829
    DTC Code : P0108
    Description : Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor Circuit High Voltage
    -- PCM/ECM DTC CODE DATA HEX :: 08006CF11059110639
    DTC Code : P1106
    Description : Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor Circuit Intermittent High Voltage
    -- PCM/ECM DTC CODE DATA HEX :: 08006CF11059162619
    DTC Code : P1626
    this site explains it pretty good

      I think you need to concentrate on figuring out why you are getting those codes before you continue driving the car around, OR pulling the motor and doing the camaro pistons...

      You have electronic issues somewhere with the sensors or with your harness and you NEED to figure that out first.

      You map doesnt read below 77 at idle, you HAVE A VAV LEAK somewhere... I dont care how agressive the cam is, thats WAY too high, and there is something else wrong.

        those codes popped up about 1/4mile away from me getting back to my garage. this is only the 2nd time they have popped up there. they popped up at the end of the 8 or so mile trip. it took about 10-15 minutes to pop the codes so there not something i can reproduce easily.

        it ran an idled fine for most of the ride, it wasnt till towards the end that it devloped the issues and threw the codes.

        i picked up a propane torch to test for the vac leaks, so during the day tuesday and friday ill be checking that ish.
        i checked all the plastic hoses and that stuff the other day and there ok no cracks.

        searching around the internets those codes lean towards some form of vac leak.
        im gonna clean all the shit out of the other 3400 uim i got to try that, there might be something wrong with the one i got on there now that's creating a vac leak or something, either way it cant hurt to try it.

          found a nice vac leak. one of the intake spacers isnt totally flat so that cracked the uim.

          its straight all the way along the spacer up until the area near the bolt hole on the end where it starts trailing up kinda like extra material or something. but it lead to yet another cracked uim.

          once i get back down there on friday with my last spare 3400 uim it should be good to go.

            Going to take off the spacer? It's gonna need milling flat to fix that, I doubt you could get a good seal by hand.

              spacers are sidelined for now, no sense trying to use them as every time i do its costs me 35 bucks for a UIM from the yard and the time and money to port the neck for the 65mm t-body.

              ill take some pics later to show what i mean.

              now that i sit here and think, i think thats why i always had low weird iac numbers never put any thought into the spacers since before it didnt create drivability issues.

              it was funny though i started down near the MAF with the propane and slowly worked my way towards the alternator and once i hit that corner bam idle shot right up and i knew that was the spot.

              it would prob cost me more than they are worth to have them milled. might try it with a 8.5x11 sheet of sandpaper and a surface i know is flat, but they are not touching the engine till i do something to them.

              its nothing i did to them or the way they were made it seems like a defect in the stock they were cut out of.

              didnt even notice the crack right away i was running a straight edge along the runners and look above the bolt hole and then inside and was like nice another fat crack.

                      hopefully friday. once i get my last spare uim down there, forgot to bring it today or else it would have been today.

                      im gonna have to start hitting the yard again to get parts, its been like 5 months since ive been.

                      it will be fine without the spacers for awhile.

                          even when it was stock i always had lower iac counts than everyone else.
                          where everyone else was in the 20's and 30's at idle i was down in the 10-15 range.

                            That's not right. My IAC's are way higher than that. IIRC last scan with the 65mm was 50-60.

                                50 or 60 on a stock cam is ok... you need more throttle plate open when running a cam and the billet 65mm tb otherwise it likes to stall a lot... I've noticed even now with my current iac count and cam if I rev it it will drop down and stall... its either the IAC cant catch it in time or its also due to the idle lope and it cant predict its actions quick enough.

                                Also IAC count is relative to throttle blade opening obviously... so if his throttle blade was open more than yours was then thats why he had much lower IAC counts.

                                Got Lope?
