  • O2 MV levels... Whats good?

I'm trying to find out the sweet spot for WOT N/A O2 numbers.

I'm using a DHP tuner and a lot of those guys are 3800 SC motors so the comparison is hard they talk about getting 920 or 950mv at the O2 sensor...

Currently I have it setup so I will reach 902 at WOT but my injectors are almost maxing out and that doesn't make sense because they are 05 3400 22.5lb/hr injectors running at 55psi... I shouldnt have this problem on a stock build 3400 correct?

The O2 numbers you should be looking for are 870 - 890 mV with 900 mV being the absolute max. The DHP forums do explain more about this but you have to search for it. There was a thread in the 3800 section about N/A tuning requirements. The thread should only be about a month old, but it's information is directly relevant to 3400 N/A tuning.

But remember that if you get these numbers it doesn't tell you squat for what AFR your actually running at. After I installed my wideband O2 I found out that the actual AFR I was running was around 12.9 while I was commanding 12.6. Yet I was getting 900 mV on my stock O2 sensor.

Well she's running a little rich then... I'll back it off and see what I can get, and yeah I'm aware of the wideband deal, but at least I can get a general idea with this.

id check your plugs after i WOT run, dont let it idle, or drive it after the WOT, shut it off, let her cool a bit and check the plugs
hehe dont want em to be white
        tuning without wideband is risky

not really... tuning a forced induction motor without a wide band yes...

Its hard to go damage causing lean on a stock motor unless you are really f-ing with the tables.

Thanks ricky, I'll try to stick it there.

I gotta figure out how to keep it stable too.

The 900 on nitrous should be easily reached since its a wet shot and it wont task my injectors any more... Just my fuel pump... hehe
