  • parameters to change injector size

    Hi guys

    Which parameters (names) do I need to change, when I've replaced the fuel injectors with lager ones?
    I know low and high slope, fuel breakpoint and Injector Offset.
    But what are the exact names in the XDF-file (A1)? I have troubles to find them.

    Thanks for your help.

      I'm sure someone will chime in soonish. Just a tad bit slower around here these days.

          BPC vs EGR is the main one for fuel constant.

            Thanks Sappy. But I can't find BPC vs EGR in the strategy A1. Maybe the name altered?

              ah you mean the table Base Pulse Constant vs Desired EGR (F28 ) ?

                Why EGR? EGR sounds in this combination very confusing. Does it play a role if I already deleted the EGR?

                  its a base pulse constant vs EGR%. If you delete the EGR, then use the 0% (top) number only. Im not sure what the table label is.

                    It sounds logical. I will do.

                      I've found it! See picture below.
                      Sappy, you've said that BPC vs EGR is the MAIN one for fuel constant. Does this imply other secondary parameters I need to change?

                        SImply put, thats it. If you want to tweak something else, offset vs battery voltage would be the next one that comes to mind.

                            btw Sappy,
                            CONSTANT = 1461.5 * (EGR FACTOR)(LITERS/CYL)/(INJECTOR RATE)
                            did you make the math to work meanwhile?

                            you wrote at:
                            10-17-2011, 08:09 PM

                            1461.5 * (.988 )(.516)/(2.09) = 0.152

                            That makes more sense other than I still can't make it work as a math formula either.

                            source:

                            so, when I take for the EGR Factor 0.000424 it seems to work:

                            CONSTANT = 1461.5 * 0.000424 * 0.516/2.09=0.153

                            is that right?

                              It worked for me once and that was it. What size injectors and its a 3.1?
