I have discussed doing this in the past and was told it would work with some tweaking and parts swapping. I plan on using Tunercats OBD 1.5 tuning software.
I'm just double checking to make sure this will work. I was skeptical if the tone wheel is the same count between the two on the crank. For it's purpose, this setup doesn't have to be perfect. Run well and make comparable power to the factory setup of the 3400.
A short list of the parts that need to be swapped would be beneficial.
