Yep, got one of those in the garage too... Not sure what I'd do with it though. Man, I have so many extra ECMs I don't know what to do with that I just can't seem to get rid of...

You can use a 9396 in place of the 7730
      '89 Firebird, 3500 Turbo, T56, 9-bolt/4.11
      '86 Fiero, 3500, 4-speed

I could, but I already have the mount under the dash (not easy on a 93 dash) and reworking pretty much the entire engine harness isn't cost effective for me in terms of time. Repinning to the 730 is much easier as I already have the pinouts and the connector blocks.

I'm going to put this on hold for a bit... I might actually finally have finagled my way into getting somewhere with the MS2... Although the 730 swap is enticing so I would know if there is an issue with something.

Superdave, if you're still on here, I've just about had it with this MegaSquirt. Get a good tune going one day and something happens with the code the next. Tired of fighting with it. Just want a decent running engine with a decent idle speed that doesn't buck as much or drink gas. I'll send you both of my remaining MEMCALs if you want them (can't get rid of the things otherwise). Just need to know where to send it...

I don't care if I have to fight with the VSS or not. Just need the flag set for manual trans, code 32 disabled, injector setting to 22#, VATS disabled, and either LHO FWD or 3100 L82 spark table (whichever you think is best for my combo). Rewiring the knock sensor (which also doesn't currently work on the MSII), A/C fan switch, and putting wires back in the harness for ECM troubleshooting and datalogging won't take long.
