  • PROM upgrade? Third Gen '92 Camaro, 3.1 LH0 MFI V6

I was wondering if upgrading the PROM in my 1992 Chevrolet would be a simple power upgrade, and what the offset of this would be?

Simple as that, would upgrading the PROM help or hurt?

3.1 MFI, code LH0, 5spd Borg Warner T5 (Soon to go back in), currently 700R4, previous owners put this in, took out the five speed, it IS a factory five speed. No mods.

Stock prom to stock prom will get you what you need for a trans change. Buying an aftermarket chip for a stock engine is of very little use. I have compared them... by the time you spent your money on an aftermarket prom you could have bought what you needed to do your own. Then you can do things beyond what aftermarket chips are allowed to do. Like tuning off traction control, turning of PE delay, changing AFR on PE and tuning your VE Fuel tables to match your car. Then you will see and feel noticeable improvements.
