  • Dataloging with Tunerpro v.5

I am not able to datalog with tunerpro v.5. I am using Robert's nAst1 .xdf and one of his bins. I am not sure what I am doing yet but have been able to load the bin to the ostrich but cannot see streaming ECM data. When i click "start/stop data log" nothing happens.

    I am using this cable:

The OBD2allinone pc scan tool to turn off the check engine light on OBD2 cars and trucks is made and sold by OBD Diagnostics Inc. Our automotive diagnostic tools can read and log any obd check engine code data.

and a cheap windows 7 64bit laptop. Its a 3500 and 7730 ECM and running (barely) on a 3.1 stock bin. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was able to check with a com port program and data is streaming from the ecm to the laptop. I also used freescan and could get it to show that crap was happening but the values were all way off (I'm guesing this is because I'm using nAst1?).
So it looks like I just cant get tunerpro to datalog.

OK i got it to work. It was my own ignorance.

In case anyone ever comes across this thread here's what to do

      - In tunerpro rt >Tools>Preferences
      - Click top right tab- "Data Acq. /Emulation"
      - Select "use plug-in" as interface type
      - Click "Configure Plug-in Component"
      - Find out what com your cable is (go to "control panel" then "device manager" then click "com ports") and enter that number
      - Then click "Start/Stop Data Scan" under "Acquisition" tab and if its working a box should turn blue at the bottom of the screen and say connected.
