    I see he has a sling shot target on the desk as well

    My Weller is older than me. I would like to have one with the thermostat on it, mine has been beaten around so much that I really don't think the controlled output is so controlled anymore, and it overheats lately. Been using the cheapie. Even built the wideband controller with the $10 pce of garbage, but at least it holds a consistent temp for the most part.

    Dave, I'm surprised you don't have a stim of some sort. I don't know how hard it would be to fab up your own, but have seen them fairly reasonable.

    I just want to know what the signal turns out to be

          My wife thought that was a cigarette burn in my chair from when that battery blew, lol. And here I was looking at that bag thinking it looked like a bag of cat food...

            MY wife wasn't happy about my burnt chair either lol. All the stuff we put in the fire (including the nitro), and the thing that did the most damage was just a plain old empty water bottle that was sealed

              Most of the time i build custom flashlight stuff and repair car amps at home, it's nice to start fresh with a project
              You nerd... I don't see one mechanical engine part on that bench... Just a bunch of little kid sized tools... LMAO

              I'm starting to get anxious... I'm closing on my house in 3 days and I'll finally have a bench that I can make my own!!!! YAHOOOO!

                I was working on this over the winter while I was building my engine. Here's a post over at code59 that I started. Oscilloscope stuff starts half way down.

                I gave up once I started putting motor back together. That and I blew the sound card on my laptop trying to simulate the signal with a signal generator.

                  It was D8 and D9, i must have had a bad connection before. I soldered directly to the ecm and now have full RPM range. It seems to like a sine wave better than a square wave.

                  300Hz = 6K RPM
