no, an 88 beretta uses 6D. Start with BFUZ and change your EGR type in the flags, and the VSS/speedo code near the beginning of the .bin. Then you will have A1 compatible code setup for your vehicle.
yeah there in right i think. i can slide the switch on the side of the aldl box and get the fan to turn on and get the engine codes. btw does that matter what setting its on?
i have your A1.bin, is that the same as $A1.bin? so upload 2 files?????
sigpic 88 Beretta CL- 13.641@102.76mph (rwd LS1/t56 conversion in progress)

you shouldn't be able to get the fan to turn on, that only happens when you connect pin B to A..
A is ground, M is the datastream...
open up tunerpro, select the $A1 .xdf file.. then open up the BFUZ binary file. make sure the Ostrich is connected (you may have to go to Tools > Initialize attachesd hardware.. at the bottom of the tunerpro RT window it'll tell you weather or not you are emulating and also if you are connected to an emulator or not. Once you are sure it's connected then click the blue up arrow and upload the BFUZ bin to the emulator.
check and make sure the car starts.. and isn't in limp mode (fan on and CEL).. then connect the ALDL circuit and try to datalog.
