  • BIN file question............

    Hi everyone,

In my 1991 GP 3.4 dohc my ECM code is a AXSJ and I have Bens chip installed, which I am very happy with but I have done extensive mods to the engine and I purchased a Ostrich 2.0 and tuner pro, EEC Editor, flash & burn, etc.

    I have questions...........

First, Do I need the AXSJ Bin File to upload to the Osrich 2.0 or can I use a different compatible code like BHAK for eg.

Second, IF I'm tuning MY ECM will I still be able to use Ben's chip too, or not? OR do I first have to add all his changes to my ECM and then work from there to add or change different area's that I now need to change.

I'm still trying to learn all I can here before I hook up the ostrich to my ECM so I don't screw something up.

Thank you very much in advance for all that are experienced with this.

    Regards,
    David

why not just start with my chip instead of copying everything over to another DOHC code? That is what I would do anyway. I use the latest revision so it would take a lot of effort to copy all that to the chip you are talking about.
