tunerpro rt not displaying data

ok, so i am trying to datalog my info to send the info to have a new chip made. and i cant get anything to show data. i am running Tunerpro RT with the usb aldl cable from aldlcable.com

i am running the 1227730 ecm on a modified fiero harness to run the ecm and the the 3500 lx9.

i have tried this on both my vista laptop and my xp carputer. both showed the same results. a lot of nothing. the error count in TP RT rises rapidly. it does not display any data.

what is going on? is it the usb aldl cable or do i have some settings that need to be set that are not?

You have everything set to the correct port? For usb you need to change the com settings. Also, is the timing right? I know I had to adjust it until it starts reading.
I am using TTS data master. Similar, just not layed out the same.

yes, i set the port to com4 in device manager and made sure tunerpro matched the comport. it connects just fine. how would i know if the timing is off? i forgot to mention it also has the DIS conversion.
