I've just got my 2.8 GP SE turbo running, but it's throwing a code 33, map sensor high. Looking at the data log, it occurs right as the engine starts. It shows a value of 183 kPa right as the engine turns over. If I'm thinking right, that's like 11 psig it's reading.
I've done it 3 times, and it's pretty close to the same value every time i start. After that, it drops to about 33-35kPa once it's running. I've tried unplugging the EGR, thinking that it was sticking open, and letting an exhaust pulse in or something, but no effect. The only other way i could image this happening is if it was a backfire, but i'd hear that.
I am running the tgp 2 bar map, and I am beginning to suspect that as the culprit. I got a used one I got with the other turbo parts. I also noticed the connector didn't seem to fit perfectly, but it isn't throwing the code 34, map low, which would be if it was unplugged.
Anyone have any ideas?
