Try this site, http://www.gmtuners.com/ Darthfiero does a lot of tuning in absentia and maybe able to help you out but you will need to be able to provide him with datalogs to see where your current tune stands. you'll need an ALDL cable and a program for that.

    You can try http://www.tunercat.com/tnr_desc/do_tc.html
check out supported vehicles and hardware/software sections and Links for tuning equipment. I recommend the Zeitronix wideband O2 datalogger as a start. Usually you can get it new cheaper on Ebay than from their site (not t-cat)

www.v6z24.com has a lot of guys that could probably burn you a chip ready to go since a lot of them do full 3400 swaps. Or at least send you some code to start off of? You basically have a 2000+ 3100 made.

the auto tranny is the tricky part since most people switch to a 5 speed.

Your best bet is to pick up an Ostrich emulator, that way you can try to learn the tuning yourself. This site has the bin files for some automatic trannies, I bet one of us could make some quick changes to one of those to get you started.

as for someone burning you a chip, it's just too time consuming to keep burning chips and sending them through the mail. It only takes a few minutes to send a bin file back and forth.

The Ostrich emulator has been discontinued and some times they are a bit of a challenge to get working properly. As a beginner you need something that is highly likely to function as described without a fuss to add to your woes which is why I suggested the Zeitronix unit since when connected it immediately indicated an extreme rich condition with my tune. There is another emulator available through another company aside from Moates which is also linked to in the tunercat forum I think the emulator is called the Romulator. You may want to read up on it as well.

Since you mentioned nitrous I wouldn't dare take a chance with a long distance tune mixed with it.

Just that, long distance tune, someone out of town burning a chip for an engine combination they have never seen or sat behind. A stock 3 speed with the lockup converter disabled is probably not going to last long behind a power increase. By not having the transmission lockup active it's going to run hotter.

                  Ostrich 2.0

that's what i use, it works great.

there are still constants in the computer for the auto tranny, the TCC, VSS, different idle settings and some other random things.

so if my car was a original 5spd car i would need a new ecm then ?
i have like 4 of them so if i have to change it thats no big problem
or would it be easyer to get a aftermarket ecu or would that be the same trouble ?

looks like that's for the original Ostrich, the 2.0 page dosen't say anything. I even added one to my cart just fine...

hey dave it says there that you have to sawp out to a 92-94 chip but don't they have cut off in them ?
i know a buddy of mine changed a 94 ecu to a 90 to get rid of the cut off and his car did not run right ? was that somthing he did wrong or ?
