  • 3.1 chip

Ok i have a 91 cutlass supreme sl and they dont make anything for my car. But i found a chip that fits a 91 grand prix 3.1 will it work in my olds?

Who? I have a chip on the store here that I did from dyno tuning. I am not aware of anyone else with a chip for these vehicles that does anything close performance wise.

    A 3.1 chip for a 91 grand prix will work for a 91 cutlass.

      It was made by superchips.

Yup, used to have one of those. Don't waste your money. Stock is as good as that chip performance wise.

Yes, it is dyno proven. Guess no one else wants to reply that has one of these chips.

You can't use an NA chip for a turbo setup.

Kenny (TGPilot) sells Turbo 3.1 chips, he is the site admin on tgpforums.com and owns KAZ MotorSports. his chips are dyno tuned using a DynoDyamics dynamometer. i went from a Jeff M TopGun chip (an aftermarket TGP performance chip) to his KAZ tuned chip and gained roughly 30whp & 35wtq from EEPROM (chip) tuning alone.

Did you dyno tune your car or was it a chip that was sent to you without using any datalogs? Just curious.

i actually went down to Colorado Springs and had the car tuned while on the dyno. i think Kenny used a Moates Ostrich emulator and TunerPro RT to do the tuning and datalogging.

he's tuned his own TGP/5-speed this way (which put down dyno #s very similar to my car at both DynoPros (DynoJet) and his own shop as well as his Grand Prix Turbo STE (automatic). i think his Turbo STE went 14.698 @ 93.19 with 2.2 60'. pretty impressive given the altitude and short mod list.
