The maf in my '85 camaro went out recently so I grabbed an '88 maf from a junk yard and hooked it up, but it wouldn't idle. Maybe I grabbed a bad one, but they're compatble aren't they? My parts store lists them under the same number but there's two versions of it, one with a 'funnel' around the wire and one without (mine).
