  • Recommended Tuning Software for S10

    HI -
I'm new to this forum, but am having fun learning all about the possibilities of my 2.8L in my '86 S10 Blazer 4x4. I'm planning on roller rockers and a 4.3L TBI unit (with the 2.8L injectors) this spring. I'm also looking to tap into the ECM to see how the mod works. From what I've been able to learn, I have the '429 ECM and I'm looking into an ALDL cable to hook up to my laptop. Can anyone recommend a software package that will work in my '86??? I'd like some graphing capabilities if possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

WINALDL is free which is a scanning program. Tunercat is I belive a chip burning program. Lastly I think there is something called prominator in the works. A simple google search should get you started. I have a commander 950 from holley on my s10 .

The 4.3 tbi and rockers are a good start on the tbi 2.8 found in the s-series. You wont see major power gains , although you will see gains.
