  • programming sst27sf512 with a willems help

    i have the dual power willems programmer and im reading the manual that came with it and i cant seem to figure it out...

    it says

    2. SST EEPROM

    This programmer supports: 27SF256, 512, 010, 020, 040;37VF512, 010, 020, 040.

    Operation steps (Vpp keeps as 12V):

    1) Setup the 12 bit DIP, select the chip model W27CXX

    ==== eprom electrical erase > winbond 27e/27c > w27x512 (vpe 14v)
    ==== is this correct????

    2) Set the programming voltage VPP auto to 15V, special chip jumper to W27C position.

    ==== jp5,6 set to 15v
    ==== is this when erasing AND programing?
    ==== or is it different for programing ??

    3) Insert W27CXX to 32PIN ZIP socket, click the software upper right corner erase button, the program indicator lamp flashs and progress bar is not moving, then directly press reset button, the chip starts to erase.

    === what reset button

    4) Verify the result

    === ok so i do this and it says error at 0x000000 chip = 0xff buffer = 0x23

    so ya im totally lost as to the proper settings to use to erase and to flash
    is anyone experienced in flashing the 27fs512 chip with the willem dual power programmer ?
