27SF512 to replace 29c256?

over at moates they are selling the sf chip and they state that its a direct replacement.

is that really all you need to do is change the start address to hex 8000 when burning your bin.

and change some dips on your willems to set a different erase voltage?
i have a couple of these chips and i think it would be greate to be able to use them.

Yup, that is the chip im using now. I dunno on the willems burner as I use the moates but it sounds like what you need to do.

hey did you ever find chris' bin, we were talking awhile ago and you said my setup was really close to his

im so close to tuning, i need to install my new plugs, knock sensor, o2 sensor and see if it will go into closed loop
wasnt going into closed loop last fall before i parked it..

hopefully i will have some datalogs soooon
