    Q....there is a person on a J-Body site selling a chip for a '90 3.1 automatic Z24. my question is will it work for my ,92 pontiac sunbird SE 5 speed with a '93 Z24 3.1 dropped into it?...

    please write back, or e-mail

    Short answer is no. It might work, but you'll see some stalling due to the auto throttle follower.
    Okay now, that's enough of that.

      *will it match the pontiac comp.? and the fact that its a chevy motor, pontiac car, would that be a special burn?...i don't know much about car comp. tuning obviously...help me out if ya can....

        Dont quote me but i believe the mem cals for any 3.1 gm will work
        I am currently running a 3400 swap in an 89 cavY 2.8 z24 using a stock computer the mem cal is i believe a 3.1 pontiac I have done some changing to the tables at this time but it ran ok with the stock set up

          The V6 memcals are all the same. It is the prom that differs.

          They did a pretty decent revamp on the code in '92. You can run the motors with any version of the code, but the major problem you'd have is that the VSS calibration also changed in '92. So your speedo would be way off.
