  • 3100 EEPROM/MAF computer '95 era, A-body

I searched a little but haven't come up with much. Has anyone looked further into using this computer, or has anyone tried converting to it?

tunercat has a setup for it now. Someone on this board is using but but I haven't messed with it at all. That and tunercat is like 70 bucks or so. Id probably convert to OBD2 in your situation.

Oh yeah I haven't ruled out OBD2, but the more I look into the conversion, the more of a PITA it looks like. I may have to lay the car up for several days, which isn't easy lately.

There was at least one GM car in 95 that had a tuneable ECM...I think it was from a buick.

3400-Modified did it. Not sure if he ever got everything worked out. I have one of the ECMs sitting in my basement. Just never got around to messing with it...

Hey Hey Hey! I want in on this! I've got too many plans and I'm about to be stomped if I can't get this damn ecu re-burned, lord knows how many times till it's right....

Isaac, Buick and Olds ussually go hand-in-hand when it comes to wiring and ecu's. I'll pull some part numbers from the factory tom. and see what we got. BRB

Carbon canister and purge valve mod, place in large 30 Gallon can, cover, and place curbside, the city will do the rest.
PCV valve and vent tube, reroute to exhaust to dump where it belongs, on the ground. Or add breathers and let it all free.

94-95 buick century. The thing looks like someone did a 3100 swap where a 3300/3800 used to be. The whole setup is simmilar. Maff setup, wring and all.

                      Code looks 3800ish to me.

ONly thing this thing is good for is SFI and trans controll. BUT what style of trans setup? INternal electrical setup of the 60-e changed around that year. SFI...who needs that anyway unless your looking at big power but you also need a bigger maff...which one to get? Not worth it to me.

You'd be better off with a auto TDC ecm if your looking for electronic trans controll for your auto powered little hot rod.

would i need the wiring harness from the car or is this mor or less a plug and play type of thing. OT the upper intake is different on theses cars too its got a 3800 ish type of throttle body setup. i snagged the computer and the othe box that sat ontop of it.

All the buicks of 95, except the century, have a the same plugs as our grey area nightmares. 3 32-pin connectors. The century has 2 32-pin and 1 24-pin connector, and they look really differant in their pics. It might be possible to just do a connector switch by knocking out the pins and putting them into the right holes on the proper connector blocks. I'm looking for the factory part numbers now to the century connectors. Then all we would have to do is add a few wires for the MAF.

                              12045575 Black 32-pin
                              12047946 Black 24-pin
                              12045471 Orange 32-pin

Now where do I get a 65mm MAF for a 95 Buick Century so my 3400 can breath?
