  • Definition File Needed...any help please?

    Hey folks,

I have lurked in your shadows as a guest for a while. Been amused by some of the drama, but also intrigued by some of the tuners knowledge. Some may know me, some may not, but I own TGPforums.com

I have decided to attempt to make a true 5-speed chip for the LG5 platform instead of the auto chip with "some" changes to make it work. There are plenty of driveability issues with the chip in it's current edited state, but to make it as close to perfect as possible is my goal.

What I need from you folks if possible are the definition files for the 2.8/3.1 N/A platform. Also whatever the best version of those .bins as possible also. I know it is no easy task...but it can be done.

    Thanks guys!
    -Kenny

What program are you looking for definitions for? Quite a bit can be found in the downloads section. http://60degreev6.com/discussion/dload.php

I've also got A1 definitions for GMPCM & TunerPro. When GMPCM was up, there was a patch you could apply to combine the TGP code with the A1 code.

      Do what now?
Okay now, that's enough of that.

A patch for the 8F code. I guess it was to patch the regular 8F auto code (Turbo Grand Prix) to run as a 5 speed, not to patch the A1 code with the turbo stuff....

Well there was a 5-speed patch that I helped Mick make for the TGP to run a 5-speed without too much issue. But that patch is not anywhere's near as good as it can or should be. There is no know way to "combine" two completely different codes, but to sort and replace is entirely possible.

I was reading through a few posts here about GMPCM. Sorry, but my lawyer says I can not say anything good or bad about Mick until the lawsuit is petition'd and closed. I lost a large sum of money because of erronious claims to copyright infringement which then caused my tgpforums site and my companies webpage to be shut down (they used to share the same webhost). One of my clients saw this and was nervous of company instability. They backed out and Mick will pay for my loss!

Anyway...I am running Mark's TunerPro program for editing. Wish I had known about Mark before I stumbled across GMPCM and it's affiliates.
