  • GMPCM back on-line

Don't know if this is old news to you, but I just noticed GMPCM is back on-line. No mention of his absence, and no free access to bin files anymore, but, for registered users, this is a good thing, No?

I for one am probably going to take my business to the Mega Squirt shareware grassroots efforts of Mssrs Bowling & Grippo, because I just don't like the idea of investing time and money in software and hardware and then have the person who is the sole support for the endeavor flake out. I am sure he felt he had reasons for doing what he did, but he also screwed over his paying customers. Really a shame, because I was absolutlely rooting for the guy prior to his abandoning his customer base.

Mega Squirt, OTOH, is a collaborative shared group effort, so even if its founders were to simultaneously shoot each other, or get mad at their entire user base, support would continue through the shareware collaborative.

Mick can go fuck himself. I gave him A1 and DF and he blocked me from his site.

I think we've moved on from GMPCM. It's full of features, but it's also full of errors.

start a new definition file for one of the other programs...
Okay now, that's enough of that.

werd. hes dicked around his payed customers. Ive found errors in his timing tables, and his response was that it defy's his logic. Well the truth is in the datalog. Ive imported my bin's that I made from GMPCM into TunerPro and ofter find conflicting values.

You've talked to him recently & confirmed that the tunerpro values are correct?

The site seems to come up every once & a while. I was able to access it about a month ago, but haven't been able to get to it since. He's got something that redirects you back to 127.0.0.1

It is amazing how he claims people to have stolen from him or copyright infringement, yet 95% of what he has was given to him by others! There is a civil and liable lawsuit pending against him filed by me. Also GM is curious to know how he is claiming copyright to definition files they created. Specifically paper written definitions and electronic definition files they created 17-18 years ago.

There is more than one way to skin a cat in today's world. Just because he is a state away from me does not mean he can hide from legal ramifications!

I wanna know the outcome of your lawsuit. Mick is lucky that Joe's host didn't do what yours did, or he would have 2 lawsuits for the same actions.

no shit, I had to spend the better part of a day convincing the host to keep me online. Then when I tried to contact this guy he would not so much as reply to my email or phone call. Asswipe.

Whatever... he was extremely helpful to me when I was tuning my turbo GA. I like the software much better than the pretty Tunercat. But then I am a no frills kind of guy. Right now, I can't even disable trouble codes on the car I'm tuning. I was going into GMPCM, finding the bin location and hex values, then inserting them into the appropriate locations using my chip burner software, then "save-as" and reopen in TC. But my laptop tok a dump last week and now I have no GMPCM software to use. I'm pissed, but for a different reason than you guys. BTW, I guess it's down for good.

holy post from the dead batman

i dont see why you are pissed for other reasons. you payed for software and now you no longer have access to it or the files you payed to access. thats the same reason everyone else is (or was) pissed.
