  • Crank Trigger solution to help OBD1 ecm with new engines

    GOTO pg 22

The second address is part of the same site I just included it to make it easier to get to the point. Download some of the experiment books to see what these things are capable of. I have one that I purchased years ago in an effort to use it to fire an extra injector for additional fuel on a turbo engine then I came across the software and hardware necessary to use the stock ecm with a reprogrammed chip, I had made it as far as the code to pulse the injector on and off at various rates but didn't need to develope the input code for it to respond to.

It is a very powerful tool especially since they have gotten faster and more sophisticated than what I had. A simple routine to count the O.E. crank trigger in the 3500 and send out a signal comparable to what the TGP 727 ecm would expect shouldn't be that hard at all especially if you use the program examples available in the manuals to start with. My program for the injector was a modified version of a project included in the manual. Once you get the unit anything further for circuitry needs can be picked up at Radio Shack

I believe it's cake work for some of you guys given what I have seen regarding your creativity and enginuity on this site.

Hurry up and make it happen I'll be needing it soon.
