Well, considering people legally own it and can't use it cause mick is a jackass...im thinking this is fine. Its not like GMPCM is still around. Id like to use GMPCM again so id pitch in on this.
Its is tuning software for OBD1 cars. You have to have the .bin file of your stock chip, and then this program with decode it so you know what the data is in the chip (instead of a bunch of hex values). It was useful in its options and the completeness of the definitions it had. We can make a definition file for tunerpro instead but that will take a while to enter in all the tables and constants and arrays. That and GMPCM has a compare function that works between different definition files which is why I want it working again.
hey man, i see you have uploaded GMPCM to the site here. This version is: 3.4.3 at home I have 4.6.9, and I think there are even more recent versions than that. We need to track down that latest version to have it cracked instead of this older verision.
another option for cracking is that I would have to assume the randomly generated product ID is based off of the BIOS clock during time of install. If you can find where it key's off of that and just do a set time, then you will always get the same productID during install, and hence can always use the same unlock key.
It could be the same setup as far as the serial goes for all the versions. I don't know why he would have changed it for each version. If someone sends me a newer version ill upload it. Has to be split up like I have it now though to work. Not sure what it would take to get the program to accept larger files.
just an update... ryan.hess's keygen does infact work! Mind you i tried it on an older version, so once I get 4.7 ill try again. I have 4.6.9 at home so im not gonna bother with that one.. but ill install another version on my laptop to get another test run in.
I have removed the GMPCM files from the download area I have recieved a DMCA complaint as cracking protected content and software is aginst the DMCA.
Hello,
We have received a formal DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) notice
regarding allegedly infringing content hosted on your site. The specific
items in question are as follows:
The party making the complaint (GMPCM), claims under penalty of perjury
to be or represent the copyright owner of these works. Pursuant to 17
U.S.C. § 512(c), we have removed access to the files in question by
disabling the dload.php script (if you wish to have the script
re-enabled, please remove the specific 'GMPCM' files themselves as we
were unable to locate them ourselves).
If you believe that these works belong to you and that the copyright
ownership claims of this party are false, you may file a DMCA
counter-notification in the form described by the DMCA, asking that the
content in question be reinstated. Unless we receive notice from the
complaining party that a lawsuit has been filed to restrain you from
posting the content, we will reinstate the content in question within
10-14 days after receiving your counter-notification (which will also be
forwarded on to the party making the complaint).
In the meantime, we ask that you do not replace the content in question,
or in any other way distribute it in conjunction with our services.
Please also be advised that copyright violation is strictly against our
Terms and Conditions, and such offenses risk resulting in immediate
disablement of your account should you not cooperate (not to mention the
legal risk to you if they are true).
We also ask that if you are indeed infringing upon the copyright
associated with these works that you delete them from your account
immediately, and let us know once this has been done. We also ask that
you delete any other infringing works not listed in this takedown
notification, if they exist.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Now its possible that there may be options where we can have the files posted considering the author of the work has abandoned the software. IANAL but I belive there are provisions in the DMCA for this. However for the time being the files have been removed and will remain off the site untill 60v6 can either get permission from the author or a certified court document that says that 60v6 has the right to post these files.
