What ECU Reprogrammer To Get HP or DHP?

what do you guys think I should go with for the ECU reprogramming company should I get? DHP Powertunr is 400 and HP Tuners Is 500? which one is better to use?

My computer will soon be tuned with HP tuner but Milzy Motorsports and once I can afford a tuner, that is what I am going to buy.

But everyone is entitled to their own opinions on what tunes better I guess.

I have the DHP tuner, but haven't really messed with it much other than scan for trouble codes and change a few shift points. If you want to wait about a month or so Ben will be tuning my car and you can get his oppinion on the DHP.

I know a lot of the L67 guys like the DHP program. I'll be using it for my '98 GTP, and just for fun, a 1999 Lumina 3100 I just got.

I had the DHP PowrTuner for my GA. It seams to be a bit less user friendly but by can do a bit more with it.

I have the DHP, and i love it, it has alot of parameters you can use which i have taken advantage of with my 97 GTP, however im waiting for the BIN file for my 00 GP SE 3100 SFI which im anxiously waiting for so i can see what kinds of gains i can get out of it.

HP tuners seems to be the way alot of people are headed.It seems to be fairly popular around the 3400 guys here in Canada.

Both software packages offer pretty much the same tuning parameters for V6 engines. That means, if you are new to PCM tuning, you will want to know which support forum covers your vehicle. The support forum will help greatly in understanding how each parameter table interacts with each other. Plus answer questions, provide tuning guides and other helpful hints. Remember, HP deals mainly with V8 engines while DHP is all V6 based.

We could just be a support forum for tuning. We have the section:P Im starting to get into the OBD2 tuning now though I wont be buying a setup myself right now since I have OBD1 vehicles. After looking at both setups, i think I like the DHP more. Neither really has all the variables I am used to with OBD1 though they have some that aren't in OBD1 as well.

I have the DHP. I would take a close, serious look at both. For support, the DHP has the HP tuners beat. For software, I think the HP Tuners may be better, but I don't know how much of that works its way down to the V6 guys. Both definitely have some things going for them.

As of now HPT has a more user friendly setup, however their main focus is V-8's althought that may be changing. Updates seem to be rare aswell for HPT.

In DHP's defense their setup is not too hard to learn and there has been talk about in the next few updates to enhance the user interface.
Yet another good thing about DHP is their committment to free and seeming regular updates which only make the product better. DHP's hidden forums are also alot better than HPT's forum.

If I had to do it all over again I wouldn't hesitate to go with DHP again, the product and support has been great and as of lately it is only getting better.
