  • What to do... what to do?????

As most of you know, I am building another engine for my three wheeler. http://60degreev6.dreamhosters.com/d...t=5750&start=0 It's a 3400 and will have twin T-25s, fabricated intake and a few other mods. Emissions testing is not a concern to me as it is registered as a motorcycle.

The current setup is a '95 Lumina 3100, 4T60E and ECM. My problem is "What ECM should I use?". I like having an auto and was planning to use a 16149396 ECM since I have the 4T60E. A transmission rebuild is in my plans as well as a stall convertor, so I have been considering swapping to a non-electronic transmission thereby eliminating the need for an ECM to control the tranny. This would allow me to use just about any ECM that would be compatable with boost.

Any ideas, thoughts, suggestions or input? OBD1? OBDII? Megasquirt? Keep in mind that I have a limited budget.

I have a standalone that I could be willing to work with you on... Its relatively simple, but I think it will do what you want it to. We can discuss further if you are interested.

There is a member on here trying to sell a FAST standalone system that he had on his supercharged 3.1 beretta. Norm88gt is his handle.

i would say go for a 97 - 99 Monte LS or Lumina PCM with matching harness. Then get a DHP powertuner to go with it. You can keep your autotrans, no funky 2 PCM system (one for engine one for the trans) and you have full control over all the PCM functions.

Theres even a couple guys here that know a thing or 2 about tuing that particular PCM line for a turbo 3400.

yes but im not sure if DHP has a module for those cars or not. I know DHP has modules for 96 and 97-99 Monte LSs. We spent 2 years harassing charles before he made one.

only took me 1 year to get him to do mine. ill get it tomorrow, btw, im psyched, but anyway, i believe those are also supported. you could submit a ticket to dhp about the ga with a vin number but i would go with the monte one as well.

Get the wiring for a 94-95 DOHC MAF setup, run it SFI, and tune it with the MAF. Probably the cheapest route to retain your trans and tune the boost with 1 computer. Other than that, I would go with 2 computers, one for trans, the other for the engine.
