    Why bother with an FMU?

Why not just get any 7727 or 7730 and drop in the chip from a 1989 Turbocharged GTP. Use the same sized injectors & Turbo as the GTP and you are pretty damn close to dialed in. No FMU or AFPR or timing box, just a factory ECU designed to run boost right out of the box. Later if you want to go up on boost or turbo size, you can modify the calibration tables using this guy's software:

Read all of the threads on that site, particularlty in the OBD1 section, and that should give you a pretty good idea of what to do.

Sorry to bring something else back from the dead, but with I didn't see any mention of me here and i thought I would add that I'm still running a 1994 3100sfi computer on my supercharged z26. With a 255lph fuel pump, vortech SFMU (75 - 80psi fuel pressure at WOT), and about 96 to 98 or so octane I was not getting knock or leaning out this last summer. You can run this computer, but it is not optimal. I ran with 7psi and no initercooler.
