cool, i dunno if ts going to replace the ostrich... but it would be pretty cool to have an obd 2 tuner.
maybe there will be alot of people here experimenting with an obd 2 upgrade

most likely need obd 2 scanners, freescan2 hehe that would rock

I'd LOVE to have something like that for the 96+ GM OBD2 PCM's. That would make tuning with PowerTuner or HPTuners 10x easier!

          Hi Ben,

When I get it done it should work with the 3800 stuff for 98+. Not sure
about the other. What do the guts of the PCM look like?

          -Craig

Ok, so lets try and prove that he should care about the 60V6 motors as well. No one cares about the 3800:P

I hear rumors from inside sources that DHP is working on this also. I wonder if they're working together?

darn, can we come up with some quality pcm schematics, pictures and stuff

im sure adding support for 1 more pcm wouldnt be very troublesome
i bet if we aranged a pre-"group buy", showing him the intrests we have in an obd2 tuner, get a big list of people that are willing to purchase this thing if he puts support in for us?

I'd be in for a group buy. Unfortunately, I don't have an ODBII PCM to take pictures of... ODBII tuning would be a very nice thing to have!

I sent him a link to this thread, though I dunno if craig will want to join our forum to discuss anything publicly. Im just hoping for at least an email reply with what all he needs. I know he needs some pictures but I can't help with that.

My question would be can it tune across all years and platforms? The limitation of HP Tuners is you can only get certain years and cars, and you can only purchase two templates at a time.
I may own a GTO now, but I'm still a 60V6er at heart.

Why does he need to see the 'guts' of the ECM? You never actually swap chips in those, you just re-flash them.

I have an ECU for an L67 in a 97 GP, which should look the same as every other ECU. (looks the same as the 97 Cav 2.2 ECU from the outside anyways) But I really cant be taking it apart for 'picture day' as i need it to go to work.

L67 isn't gonna help us, he has that taken care of. If he wants pics, i would hope that someone can help us by getting him what he needs. Otherwise, we can forget about it.

FYI- the 97 Z34 computer is the same one as the 97 Grand Prix GTP computer (and the 97 Camaro 3.8 and lots of other 97's). Only difference is the bin file.

I do have a 96 and a 97 Z34 computer that I might be able to get into and take pictures of. Externally, they do all look the same.

I have one to, and if I can't trade it for a PCM I actually need, I may be inclined to open it up if need be.
