    L67 Series1 help needed

    I have a '95 L67 S/C engine, which uses OBDI.

    I know to do anything to my computer I need a few things, A programmer and the supporting files as well as chips to burn to and an eraser.

    I can't seem to find a editor with the needed definition files to do anything.
    I also don't know exactically what EPROM chip I'll be needing.

    I also need if there's any FREE ALDL software that can handle my computer.

    I'm looking on my own, but was hoping that someone here might know.

    The car is a 1995 Buck Riviera; engine is a 3800 L67 Series1 with the stock Super Charger.

    you made a mistake putting "L67" in your topic title. since GM uses the same PCMs for a lot of applications, it wouldnt matter what the motor was. i think in 95 they had an OBD 1.5 wierd thing going on. you should search for OBD 1.5 and see what comes up. or maybe 95 PCM.

      Are you sure its not flash vs memcal? If its flash, you are screwed completely.

        Buick seems to reside with cadillac. Remmeber the Memcal based 94-95 buick century (BMAD cal code)?..even the Fleetwood has a simmilar ECM...memcal based.

        If your ECM has a Memcal..then its programmable. BUT..I don't think theres a HACK for it yet "publicly". You can DUMP the info on the memcal into a bin file and wonder what it does with a Hex/bit motorola dephifer..or put it on a bench and "read it" ,but I don't think even then you know what to change or do. The other is to see if supper chips or Jet has a chip for it and compare it to your stock chip and see changes on the code to maybe "plot" important tables.

        Domestic Performance keeps poping up if you do a search on the net.

          Yeah, I've got some weird 1.5 setup. OBDII port with mostly OBDI codes come out.

          I know it has, or should have based on the Bonneville, EPROM.

          TurboGTU, I completly understand what you're saying. Get my stock chip and compair a dump of that to a chip with known differences. From there I could write a quick program to alow me changes to those.

          I don't know if it has memcal, the car is in the tranny shop at the moment, but I'll look for a big blue block when I get it back.
