I have an '87 S10 with a TBI 2.8L. I put a little bit bigger than stock Edelbrock cam in it, hoping that it wouldn't interfere with the computer. The first time I drove the truck after rebuilding the engine, it drove fine except for when I feathered the gas pedal, it would hesitate slightly and kind of fluctuate in RPMs, but with a little more gas, it would stop and drive fine. The second day that I tried starting it and it died several times. I finally got it to stay running and drove it around the country. While it was running, the truck didn't seem to be sensing where the throttle was and would stall, sputter, idle terribly, and die. Is this more than just a throttle position sensor problem or does the computer need to be tuned to the new cam? I live near Lafayette, IN and would appreciate any help or suggestions on what to do and/or where to go near me.
