  • serious tuners needed!! wide band 02 ( wbo2 ) on 16149396

after searching the computer tunign forum and found nothing relavant...

    reading this article..

prevoked me to ponder if anyone has hacked/coded a bin file to allow for the wideband 02 sensor on a this pcm

i cant delve deep into this, or try this myself yet as i dont have the proper hardware, or tuning knowledge as of yet.

when my 3x00 hybrid swap onto my 2.8 in my 93gp is complete and i get into tuning im going to try this, so im just asking if it has been attepted yet, what was the outcome, im going to learn my flags constants and 2d 3d tables before i go into this

    hope to ehar something intresting

Bringing this back from the dead.

Sil..... Did you ever get this to work. I am using a 16149396, BHAK code and a Zeitronix. It sure would be nice to see the wideband numbers in the datalogs.

i have heard of O2 sensors that have a wide and narrow band output. why not get one of those? not sure what your using to tune with either, but the powertuners now have the Analog digital ports enabled free of charge and you can now just have your W O2 logged along with your other sensors.

LC1 from Innovative has this feature. Two totally programmable outputs. At first it was sending a simulated output to my ECM and the other to a AFR guage, then it has a output for the laptop as well. You can get them for about $150 or $200 IIRC.

I thought ryan hess had modified the code to use TPS 2 or something to log the wide band signal. This was for DF code most likely.

This is OBD-I. The Tektronix has WB & NB outputs as well as logging but I want the ECM to output the WB so it can be logged with the other ECM data. Ryan did this but it was for A1 & 8F codes. I need to check with him to see if it can be done with a DF code. It sure would make tuning easier.

Oh I thought it was DF only. The A1 would work out nice for the 3400 chips.
