  • New WBO2s!

I was having an IM discussion with someone tonight, and wideband O2s came up. So I decided to see what was available on ebay...

I remember just a couple years ago when a basic wideband controller and sensor was nearing the $1000 price range. With the introduction of the Bosch sensor, prices started to drop dramatically. And check out what I came across tonight...

Take a look at the link and then let's discuss it. I really don't want to give anything way, but lets just say it is pretty damn impressive!!

    RE: New WBO2s!

Wow, that's pretty cool. I really like that it has the NB output for the original ECM so you don't need 2 separate sensors!

        DDDDDDRRRRRROOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!
Tuning a car is full of compromises. You must decide if you are willing to give up either reliability, performance, or a whole load of cash. Also remember that repairs will seem to come up much more often as you strive for even more performance

          Sensor?

Cool, so how much is the Bosch sensor that this thing hooks to?? Because this thing doesn't come with one.

            RE: Sensor?

Wow, thats a pretty sweet setup, but that is also a hell of a price. What were we looking at before that was about 200 bucks or so.

              RE: Sensor?

Looks alot like an Apexi product. With this and a SAFC2 you would be laughing...

...If the price comes down, ill sign up for one.

Definately something Ill keep an eye on.

                RE: Sensor?

It says at the bottom that the kit comes with the Bosch sensor. But IIRC, you can pick up one of the sensors for well under $50.

                  RE: Sensor?

Innovate Motorsports makes 2 very nice wideband units. I'm using the LM1 and like it alot. You can get the sensor (Bosch LSU4.2 <- I think that is the right number) for around $40 - 50 from 1stvwparts.com

For those with control over the fuel curve a wideband setup will allow one to fine tune said curve to their preferences much more accurately than a narrowband O2 could allow.
