I think the 94 DOHC ECMs still used a MEMCAL, so there might be a way to edit the tranny code. I think Ben is trying to work on these years right now, but not sure how long it will be until he has anything figured out.

why not use a 5pd code from the DOHC on your ecm. I think the 730 can use the old 5spd memcal with some rewiring for non SFI.

OK..I see that theres a low resolution cranks sensor going to the ICM and a cam sensor and crank sensor going stright to the ecm. So I guess the 730 is out of the question. The 93 regal 3.8 ecm looks similar..but some repining will have to be done.
I'd still try and find a 5spd version for that year ecm.

        RE: using a 5 speed with a 4t60e ecm

the problem with the 5 speed cpu is it has a 3.62 fdr, and I can't get that gear in a 10 bolt.(the auto uses a 3.43, and I can get a 3.42 gear.)
would the cpu run the motor without tranny imputs(I know it'd throw a code or few if it did, but I can pull the ses bulb)
I thought I seen a post (a long time ago) that some had crossed some wires or had a dummy senor for the auto tranny?
