Aka the Pocket Emulator. Vehicle in question is an 89 Beretta with 3.1L auto. Im attempting to get the car running off the emulator so I can swap out the top end and put the turbo on already. I have pretty much all the parts but basically, mine wont work for some reason. Using GMPCM I can get it to SAY it programs fine. It will verify, update, you name it. Everything should be working fine, but as soon as I try to run the car off the emulator it seems like its going into limp home mode. Doesnt seem to matter if I use the $8F TGP code, or if I use the stock 3.1L auto bin. Everytime as soon as the ignition gets power the fan turns on and the car needs some help learning the idle. Even once its been running for a bit under its own power it still revs up and drops down in approx 50-100rpm increments back and forth. I also cant datalog or get any info from the ALDL connector when the emulator is plugged in. I've tried the pull hard/soft settings and got nothing. Im stumped.

If I put in the BAUB memcal I grabbed from a 92? Corsica 3.1L auto it runs like a champ first try everytime.
Oh yeah, I've also tried 2 different memcals thinking that maybe the ZIF socket wasnt soldered on properly. I tested the connections on the first one but figured JUST INCASE, I should get another one. Nothing.
Anyone have any real experience using this thing on a similar vehicle? J-bodies should be pretty much the same aswell as a few other vehicles. I need your input! I want boost already!
