ALDL cable test

Hey guys,

I got a cable from WOT electronics and soldered it to my ALDL connection terminal so I can try to connect to my '91 Buick Regal 3.1L (Vin T). I tried Freescan but could not get it to connect.

Note that I also installed a Superchip. Should that have anything to do with the fact that I cannot connect to my computer?

Or, is it maybe my parallel port settings on the laptop?

You should be using the com port, using 410B in freescan, and try setting the ms delay to 50.

I'm definitely going to try that on Sunday (my only open window of opportunity this week).

But is it possible that the Superchip doesn't allow connections of this type, since it is an aftermarket chip?
