what is code 39?

It doesnt light the SES, but I ran my fans with the paperclip trick and saw my ses flashing a shitload so I decided to see what it was. Thats the only code I have. 91 DOHC 5 speed swapped into what was a 3.1 auto using most of the wiring. Im looking over the manuals for my hesitation problem so hopefully this code is part or all of my problem.

My book shows code 39 as a transaxle clutch switch. Only on 92/93 3.4 though. It might not be correct and doesn't sound like applies to your problem. After all, it is a Haynes manual.

Damn, you know....I woke up this morning and thought "i just now disabled the clutch switch in the code, I wonder if that code 39 applies to it". I do better when im awake than tired. Thanks for looking it up, i didnt find it in any of the books I have here. Guess that wont be my hesitation issue. I gotta find a 5.5mm to swap out the coil packs.
