I have run into this on my 2000 3400 swap. We swapped to the orginal 3100 fuel rail with VIN X 3.4 DOHC injectors from a 1993. It seems to work, but uncertain if this helps or hurts the performance. I bailed on the multitechs for now until we can establish that they will in fact work without running into fuel pressure or impedance issues.

Damn, it has no issues running a 23# injector when the computer thinks its ~17#?

What flow rate are the stock 3400 injectors?

The spray pattern is also akward for a pushrod. If it works, thats great. Any scantool results with it though?

                    Sappy,
Do you burn chips? If so would you be interested in doing one for my 87 Fiero? The 3400 turbo I'm getting ready to install will need a new chip I'm sure. It has a ECM ODB-I were the new 3400 ran off a ODB-II PCM system. So I'm hoping to get a new chip for my ODB-I ECM.

Do you have any thoughts on this?

                    Thanks,

                    Earl

He's done a couple OBD-I 3x00s. I can tell you right now though that he won't guarantee anything unless he tunes the car in person...

I can do that if he wants. Just have to finish the repaint and get the engine installed.

I haven't messed with any boost based, so I have to pass on that until I get some experience with it, preferably one that is already running with a current chip so I can see what changes amount to what.

i did the 3400 this past march on my 89 beretta 5spd and i have a 03 3400 from an impala with 25,*** miles on it now i have about 30,000. but i rewired the injector harness like the 2.8 harness is.(because i used the mutec2 injectors and the hook ups were different)so now i have 3400MPFI LOL anyways mine runs fine but, going into 3rd gear it like boggs alittle then kicks in and goes. that kills me man. have anyone else have this problem?? here is what i have and done to the motor to make it easier.

3400 injecotrs with 2.8 wiring style
stock 2.8 ECU and wiring harness
3400 rear manifold(everyone says it won't fit but it did in my car)
                            2" stock piping(exhaust)
                            WAI
im hopoing my AFC will correct my fuel and air mixture but have not tried yet and ideas why my car dose this, only in 3rd gear too???
