it's a FAILbox, if you can pawn it off on some unsuspecting ricer, go for it.

i'm not sure how the hell they can have the same wire deal with both a MAP and MAF circuit.... unless it's meant for the old analog MAFs that report airflow with a varying voltage, not the frequency based ones that change their frequency relative to airflow...

if i had to guess as to how exactly it worked, i would say that it tracks TPS%, when it gets above a threshold, it skews the MAP/MAF sensor reading to get the ECM to dump more fuel....

im just gonna sell it to an unsuspecting ricer like robertisaar said. and i think it does trick the car and makes it dump more fuel but it probably is a certified POS.

What sucks is the car already runs on the rich side unless it's been tuned- hence the safety net I mentioned in my first post. The IAT resistor mod does the same thing, until the PCM compensates for the over rich condition, lol. At least you asked some knowledgeable folk before installing it and thinking it made an improvement

well, assuming it does track TPS, then it will only modify the signal of the MAP/MAF when there is a significant enough throttle position to enable PE, and since the ECM doesn't correct for fueling when in PE, it won't get slowly cancelled out...

so, this is technically 1 step of usefullness above the IAT mod.... but that's not saying much
