  • 95 cutlass supreme vats delete on ecm

i have a 95 olds cutlass supreme that is obd2 is there anyone that can delete the vats in the ecm so i can use this ecm in my motor swap

what makes you certain that it's OBD2? the 94-95 vehicles sometimes use the OBD2 connector, but they are still an OBD1 PCM.

if it's a 95, it has an OBD1 PCM. did it come from the factory with the 3.4, or the 3100? the 3100 PCM, as-is, is not in any way tuneable, no one has bothered hacking through it to be able to tune it. the 3.4 on the other hand, has been somewhat of a mystery for quite some time. darren freed did manage to hack through and comment on quite a bit of it. i made an XDF for tunerpro based off of the commenting, and it is a fairly hefty file.

already being OBD2, i would not know of an easy way to integrate an OBD1 PCM into the vehicle without potentially causing more issues.

the first person i can think of that has successfully swapped a 3x00 into a last-gen cavy is Weatheralls Auto... you may be able to get some good information out of him as to what options are the best path.

well my plan was to find a ecu and motor harness and run it as like a stand alone with after market gauges get rid of body harness and re run wires for just lights to get rid of all the un used wires laying in my floor lol from the heat and all that crap

if you don't care about things like ABS and potentially airbags or any other modules the car might have, and don't have to worry about emissions, the only question left is what kind of trans and what electronic features that the PCM normally controls do you want.
