The '7730 only has one injector driver. It just has two connections at the ECM.
The ECM will "run" a 3 cyl, but the problem is not whether it will run it or not, but what settings to use in the bin, to have a "3 cyl" setting, and the larger problem yet, is what modifications are needed to the MEMCAL itself. There is a hardware side to the cylinder count that needs to be addressed when using the same ECM on an engine with a different cylinder count. I know on one of the other forums I'm on this was being discussed, for a different 3 cyl project, but not sure how far they got with it.
I wouldn't try to run DIS on this engine, I would use the dizzy and adapt an HEI computer conrtolled module to it, if it doesn't already have a compatible ICM.Comment
