  • 91 Z34 Blowing Tail Light fuse, WHY?!?!

Any possible causes? the only things i can say are that i drove on saturday night from hours out of town, the worst i got was a wet road. no problems all sunday, then today getting in the car before work i notice that my tail lights didnt blink with my aftermarket remote entry....
so i figure, oh its just a fust. pop a new one in, and popped it right back out. i looked around a little, i checked where my trailer plug connects to the hitch cover, and unplugged it with a new fuse and it still blew... any ideas anyone? is there somewhere it could be rubbing im not knowing about?

oh yeah, i did my starter too, i dont see how its related... but just in case.

what sorts of things can i do to test where the problem is? i mean the tail light circuit can only go through so much stuff, right? is it connected to the dash lights too? maybe somehow my wiring for the HUD is gone bad? (HUD works fine though)

seriously? a blown bulb will do this?? then its going to be on the outside of the car, right? so do i just pull one bulb at a time and test them till i find the one thats blown?

or the smarter thing to do is to remove all of the bulbs, then plug in a good fuse. if it pops, its not a bulb.

if the wiring is good, plug them in one at a time until the fuse goes... this way wastes a lot less fuses...

i get fuses by the hundreds... lol i always pull them out of any car im worknig on in the JY. but yes, this is the plan i will go with. some how i have a feeling its where i made my connection for to the tail light switch for the HUD. if not im thinking its where the dimmer wire is for my stereo, its not hooked up and might be grounding out or something. IF its not a bulb
