I have a 91 lumania z34 i just got it i started work to it and it was runing good but then it started to turn off on me when i would take it out of gear if i didnt keep my foot on the gas so if im driving and i stop and if i dont have my foot on the gas it will turn off and if i try to start it up it runs till you shift it

so it runs fine until it goes in gear? i would suspect the TCC is stuck locked.

what is the tcc

tcc meaning the torque convertor clutch. as far as testing it, i'm not sure, i've never had one fail on me, but my step-sister's grand prix had one that was stuck on. i believe one of her friends unplugged the electrical connection from it, and that might have disabled it, allowing it to actually run, but at a loss of fuel economy.
