well there's your problem and the easiest solution: you should have moved the engine harness with the TGP motor, then everything would have been plug and go. any reason why you didn't?

i think that way, the only things that MIGHT have needed changed were a couple of wires in the interior...

that was my original thought - o well to late for that should i give up on trying to find that one pin and just control boost with an aftermarket - i have an msd boost guage fuel pres and a wideband - if i plug the taskmaster in can i see sensor id's or something like that - i have another 88 6000 wagon thats driven every day but then again it dosnt have that sensor plugged into it and its a 5 speed so its more than likely diffrent anyway hmmm

nevemind, i meant whatever information you have, like the pinout, if you had it printed somwhere, and didn't have a copy of it on the computer...

well for what its worth, this is the pinout for the 89TGP(i'm fairly sure its the same as the 90)

            was the 6000 originally a 2.8?

is it a MAF or MAP system?

The 6000 is maf and map - and the tgp is map - thats why i used the extra 5 wires from the maf but 2 of those wires are for the iat or intake air temp built into the maf so that was easy to just hook up to the mat manifold air temp for the tgp. Another 1 wire was a sensor ground that was spliced all over the place. There was a maf signal wire and last was a 12 volt 20a wire hooked to a relay on the strut tower ? power for the maf ? i dont know what that one does exactly and the other strange thing is the relay gets its signal from the egr ? got me maybe it dosnt read maf untill the egr says to ?

as of now the everything is wired the way the 6000 2.8 was except

the 2.8 had a oil pressure sender and a switch (Fuel pump switch i belive) im not sure which was what - one (2 wire) on the block by where the distributor would go - the other (1 wire) next to the oil filter

the tgp had one (3 wire) next to the oil filter but opposite side

so i took the the plug from the tgp and extended the 2 wires from dist area to the front

the map from the tgp would not plug in cause the plug itself was "keyed" diffrent - looked the same, same color wires so i swapped the plugs

all the other stuff was the same and plugged right in

i also got a new 6000 fuel sending unit and tgp fuel pump

so unless the eprom changed some pin locations i should be good the tgp eprom should not look for maf and that was only the 1 wire i want to use for the boost but it doesnt look like finding that pin is in my future

maybe its time to try to fire this thing to see if im good with all the other stuff before i continue. i would really like to get it done soon my dad and i like the site alot and would like to bring this thing to the meet and meet some of you guys

im not trying to get ahead of myself but next on the lift is the other 88 6000 5 speed getting a .030 over 3.1 with a top end conversion, cam, whatever else we can do and new trans the bottom end is done at the machine shop. that one will be easy

damn tgp in a 6000 thanks for all the help

For the TGPs, the pin is A18, so for he 730 it would be F2.
