turn signals, low fuel, speed, check gauges (mine is hooked up to SES) and i think thats it... nope, high beam notification as well. some models are motor tilting, some are controlled by a slider (to adjust for driver height) the wiring took me about 20 mins. but that doesnt include tearing the dash apart.
all i have left is the bracket, and cutting a hole in the dash. im kinda scared to, might buy one from the JY and do it to that one first. lol

one thing i want to do, is put a switch on the tail light connection wire. it gets way too dark way too soon for my liking (the HUD gets too dark that is) it dims like digital gauges do when you turn on the park lights. and mine are auto, and come on quite quickly... even with the sensor ontop of the dash with no pad, well... you probably looked at the pics of it before you read this. and the black box on top, yeah. thats the HUD. theres a switch (thats normally mounted to the bottom of the wiper control on the GP) but i mounted on the bottom of my dash. it controls the overall brightness (after the dimmer on the headlights) and an angle thinggy. to adjust for driver height

Heheh. I don't have a low fuel light. Speedometer would be about the only part I'd use. I have a plastic bezel(?) pod over my gauges on top of my dash that is only a few screws to remove. I have a spare so mounting stuff to it is no prob.

i had a little 'problem' tonite... i was driving back from downtown and it was kind of into the sun a little. and keep in mind im still part way through my HUD install. its WIRED and i just got it kindof mounted today (at the cost of accidentally adding ANOTHER crack to the windshield -that needs to be replaced anyway) so, i used the original brackets that came from the GP. however i needed them to be the same length and one was longer, cut them down and just made my own little feet thinggies at the bottom with pieces of an old brake controller bracket. (added two L shaped brackets to the bottom of the now shortened to be level other bracket) screwed it into the plastic under the dashpad (still have no dashpad on) and just started driving. all is good. everything is working great!! allright! now comes the bass. i drive 30 mins to get home, no probs. go for a short drive at like 7 pm and while comming home.
my Shift up light comes on.

any guesses why? i drive an auto, just did wiring for HUD... and whatever else you read up there...
oh yeah at one point it would only come on when i turned right, then off when i turned left again.

the answer is there. you just gotta figure the puzzle out. i did. i felt stupid.

HUD wired, mounted, ready to go... almost. i need to tear the unit itself apart and re-angle the mirror. and cut a few things down under the dashpad... (not sitting right where the HUD is) and its 100% done.
but i do have another prob, 2nd gear start.
i CAN NOT find this fucking proverbial blue wire anywhere.... i dont think its real

The angle etc is set by motors inside the unit, atleast on mine it is motorized,up/down

the one i used was an OG unit from back in tha day, ya know homie? any hows. i just shortened one of the connecting arms for the mirror inside it and it angled it just PERFECTLY for me. i chopped like 3/8" out of it. used a soldiering iron to melt the ends and stuck it together real fast. then coated it in super glue. lol no problems so far.

(it is still adjustable but the angle of the lumina dash is different from the GP dash)
i have a CS HUD that i might try, it has a lower base to it so it shouldnt interfere with the defogger so bad either.

yeah. thats the plus to it, but sometimes i feel like i set the bar too low when im like "ahh it works and the wires are cleaned up... good enough" mind you to start over i have to buy another dash pad.
