  • Wastegate duty cycle TGP 8F code

Does anyone know how this works as far as the cycling signal? My guess would be that default is open passage to allow the wastegate to open at the set spring pressure in the event the solenoid fails, otherwise it is pulsed closed to reduce manifold pressure to the wastegate allowing the boost pressure to climb?

I'm curious because it maybe possible to use this output as a rudimentary signal to control the VVT in the 3.9, since the control table is rpm vs. duty cycle in the chip where 100% duty cycle would mean a fully retarded camshaft.
